Yeti Airlines New ATR 72s landing in Kathmandu Today
This is the 3rd time the Yeti Team departed Bangladesh for flying these aircraft into Nepal and failing for 2 times previously.
The leading private domestic carrier Yeti Airlines is set to welcome two ATR-72 aircraft today as a groundbreaking move aimed at enhancing its fleet and connectivity. This is the 3rd time the Yeti Team departed Bangladesh for flying these aircraft into Nepal and failing for 2 times previously. Yeti Airlines recently acquired these new aircrafts from NovoAir, a prominent airline in Bangladesh. With addition of 2 new aircraft Yeti Airlines will have seven ATR 72-500 aircraft in its fleet.
The two ATR-72 aircraft already registered in Nepalese Civil Aviation with call sign ‘9N-AOF’ and ‘9N-AOH’ will touch down at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, marking a significant milestone in the expansion plans of Yeti Airlines. These aircraft, with a seating capacity of approximately 70 passengers each, are expected to play a pivotal role in the fleet expansion plan of Yeti Airlines, with these two aircrafts touching down today.
A team of Flight Crew and Engineers are already in Bangladesh for final procedures before flying the two ATR-72 aircrafts back to Nepal. However, Yeti Airlines team has already returned back from Bangladesh a couple of times without being able to bring the bought aircrafts due to various reasons. But this time, the airline is sure about the delivery of two aircrafts.
The ATR-72 is a popular choice for regional airlines, known for its fuel efficiency and ability to operate in diverse weather conditions. Yeti Airlines’ decision to acquire these aircraft aligns with the company’s strategic vision to expand its network and offer passengers a seamless and comfortable travel experience.
NovoAir, on the other hand is already selling out its remaining ATR-72 fleet as a plan of operating internationally with Narrow Body aircrafts. The domestic air travel in Bangladesh has also significantly decreased after rapid development of roadways, railways and bridges. This is why NovoAir is planning to operate international and give a break for domestic operation.
The arrival of the two ATR-72 aircrafts from NovoAir to Yeti Airlines marks a significant step forward in fostering connectivity and meeting the growing demands of the domestic aviation market.
