Leading domestic air carrier Shree Airlines is adding a new member in its fleet of Bombardier Dash 8 aircraft. Shree Airlines has already acquired a new Dash 8 aircraft with registration ‘9N-AOM’ which is going to land in Nepal this weekend.
The aircraft will make ferry flight to Kathmadu from Portland Airport, USA and will make refueling stops at Canada, Iceland, Egypt, Dubai, India before finally reaching Kathmandu. The aircraft is being flown under command of Capt. Ritesh Karn and Capt. Biraj Rajbansi. The aircraft is expected to touch down Kathmandu by Saturday night in Nepal.
The aircraft that obtained registration of ‘9N-AOM’ has a Manufacturer Serial No. MSN. 4347 and belonged to Horizon Air USA. The aircraft has already spent life of 13 years and 6 months.

The airline is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Alaska Air Group and it is paid by fellow group member Alaska Airlines to staff, operate and maintain aircraft used on flights that are scheduled, marketed and sold by Alaska Airlines.
The company took delivery of 4 Canadian-made Bombardier Dash-8 Q400 aircraft with 80-seat capacity, two in 2019 and two more in 2022. Before that, it introduced 50 and 70 seater CRJ aircraft for domestic flights after Saurya Airlines. It took delivery of 2 other Dash 8 aircraft few months back only in 2024.
Shree Airlines has two CRJ-200, two CRJ-700, and Six Q-400 Turboprop aircraft. Two CRJs and one Turboprop aircraft have been grounded for technical reasons. With the addition of 1 more aircraft Shree will be operating altogether 11 fixed wing aircrafts.
