In the past, travelers arriving at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) faced difficulties in retrieving their baggage at the domestic arrival area. To address this issue, a new domestic arrival terminal building has been constructed in TIA. Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoCTA) Sudan Kirati inaugurated the terminal, and since then, it has been operational. This newly built facility aims to enhance the overall experience for arriving passengers.

The internal arrival terminal building features two baggage belts, providing a more streamlined and efficient process for passengers to collect their belongings. The inclusion of these facilities is expected to alleviate the challenges that were previously encountered. The terminal is designed to handle the arrival of 400 passengers per hour, emphasizing its capacity to serve a substantial number of travellers seamlessly.

The inauguration ceremony led by Minister marked a milestone in improving the airport infrastructure, particularly in addressing the concerns related to baggage collection. With the implementation of these enhancements, the domestic arrival terminal is now better equipped to meet the growing demands of air travel and provide a more convenient and pleasant experience for arriving passengers at Tribhuvan International Airport.
