Calibration flights completed at Bhadrapur Airport by Aerothai

A Beechcraft King Air 350 of Aerothai (Aeronautical Radio of Thailand Limited) registered ‘HS-PBN’ has successfully completed calibration flight at Bhadrapur Airport, Chandragadhi today. The aircraft has been conducting calibration flights at Tribhuvan International Airport from few days.

The Beechcraft King Air aircraft under call sign ‘FLT04’ today accomplished checks at Bhadrapur airport today. The aircraft made multiple approaches into the airport for testing the PAPI lights (Precision Approach Path Indicator) on the both ends of the runway 10/28. The calibration flight continued for a couple of hours and no disturbance to other air traffic was made. All the departures and arrivals of the commercial operators were in time even while the calibration flight was getting conducted.

The aircraft arrived Nepal at 27 of March from Bangkok and has been conducting calibration flights of Tribhuvan International Airport since then. All the airport in Nepal having navigational aids have to be calibrated for ensuring their accuracy in certain interval of time. Aerothai has been conducting calibration flights for even the new airports of Nepal and has been conducting regular calibration flights as well.
