The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has observed deficiencies in Shree Airlines’ Aircraft Maintenance procedure and performance while the airlines is going to receive two new Dash 8 aircrafts from Portland that will arrive Nepal by tomorrow.

The CAAN’s spokesperson Jagnnath Niroula stated, “The company has been suspended from conducting structural maintenance of aircraft, as observed in our study. Now they cannot carry out maintenance related to Aircraft Structure. Another company needs to be assigned the responsibility.”

The company’s spokesperson, Anil Manandhar, indicated that they are working according to CAAN’s directives. “We are under the audit of CAAN, some requirements have been provided for fulfillment,” Manandhar stated. “We are working accordingly to meet the guidelines of CAAN.”
