Senior Captain Deepu Raj Jwarchan has been assigned the position of the Operation Director of Nepal Airlines Corporation by the Executive Chairman of the Corporation, Yuvaraj Adhikari. This is the second time Jwarchan has received the responsibility.
He has been flying wide-body aircraft for nine years in flag carrier Nepal Airlines. Senior Captain Deepu Raj Jwarchan is also the first Nepali Designated Check Pilot for Airbus A320 aircraft.
In the case of the wide-body aircraft purchase issue, Operation Director Shravan Rijal was suspended on Chaitra 22 amidst allegations of corruption.
The corporation has assigned the responsibility of the director to Mahesh Marita and the responsibility of the Finance Director to Dipendra Suvedi last Sunday.
Approval is pending from the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal for the appointment of the heads of three departments by the corporation.
