Go Around by Qatar Airways in TIA

Today, due to excessive wind, Qatar Airways’ flights have been compelled to perform ‘overshoots’ (re-initiating flights due to close proximity to the runway during landing). Qatar’s flight 646 had to perform an overshoot at around 4:30 PM during its landing sequence.

Due to the increased wind velocity, the aircraft had to overshoot and then return for landing. Overshoots are carried out to ensure the safe landing of aircraft, minimizing risks identified by the pilot.
